I know from my personal experience what it feels like to feel stuck, bored, unmotivated, unsatisfied, and disconnected from values, passions, and people. I know what it feels like to dislike myself, to disregard my value, and to live a life without meaning and purpose.

It sucks!

Growing up, I struggled with dealing effectively with life. I was highly sensitive to everything around me and I frequently felt overwhelmed and empty. Like many others, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, went to therapy, and started taking medication. While these got out of the slump, I still felt disconnected, unfulfilled, and unmotivated, and I still lacked meaning and purpose. I then decided to study psychology and to try to figure out why I feel this way and what can I do about it.

I spent a few years studying everything that was wrong with people (and with myself) and I was sad to discover the degree to which women (especially) are unsatisfied with themselves and with their lives and are struggling with high levels
of stress, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and feelings of inadequacy.

Toward the end of my master’s degree in psychology, I learned about positive psychology and it opened my eyes to a parallel universe in which the focus shifted from everything that was wrong with people to everything that was right with people.

I loved it!

On a personal level, this strength-based approach opened the door to possibilities and dreams, to meaning and purpose, and to thriving instead of languishing. I felt that I finally knew who I was and what I wanted. I decided to enroll in another graduate degree. This time in applied positive psychology and coaching psychology. Adding evidence-based coaching to my toolbox was inspiring and motivating! I learned the power of the coaching method, of active listening, of being non-judgemental, and of trusting that people already have what they need to succeed. I learned that my value as a coach is by providing people with the space, structure, and the support to explore who they are, what they want, and how to go after it.

I am now equipped with the latest evidence-based approaches to help people explore themselves and their lives, develop awareness, work toward realizing their full potential, and lead meaningful and fulfilling lives in alignment with their strengths, values, passions, and desires.

I became a coach to empower and to support others through their growth journeys. I love seeing my clients discover their possibilities, talk about their dreams, realize their power, and work toward their objectives. I also love seeing the ripple effect and how the changes in them create changes in the systems around them.

In my free time, I love walking, reading, listening to podcasts and music, watching slow emotional dramas, spending quality time with family and friends, and having meaningful conversations with anyone who is up for it. Originally from Jerusalem, I now live in Houston with my husband Brian, our daughter Danielle, and our dog Pico. My favorite meal is an Israeli Breakfast and I eat it every day (sometimes twice a day!), and my favorite cake is Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake and I eat it only once a year - on my birthday.

My commitment to you

I commit to being open-minded, non-judgmental, focused, considerate, respectful, and prepared. I also commit to provide support through careful listening, questioning, and constructive challenge. I am here to keep you accountable and to assist you in your development and growth utilizing evidence-based tools and techniques.

Sharon has been coaching me for a few months now and I can honestly say that she has made a huge impact on my day to day life. She has challenged me and supported me in equal measures and with her help I have started to overcome hurdles that have been tripping me up most of my adult life. Sharon has helped me reframe negative self talk, come up with strategies to manage academic work, running a household, juggling parenthood and even managing my ADHD.

I fully recommend Sharon as a coach, particularly if you are interested in positive psychology approaches, empowerment and challenging limiting beliefs.
